Terms of Use

By using the Areed app or website ("the platform") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. What the platform is

• The platform is an intermediary for publishing and browsing classified ads and for contact between users.
• The platform is not a party to any sale, purchase, rental or service between users. It does not own, inspect or guarantee the advertised items, their quality, conformity or the legality of their sale.
• There are no in-app payments. Any payment (including a bank transfer to a store account) happens outside the platform, directly between the parties and at their own risk.

2. Account

• You must be at least 18 years old and use a phone number you own.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Never share your verification code (our team will never ask for it).
• Usernames must not impersonate others or the platform, or contain offensive content.

3. User responsibility for listings

• You alone are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your listing: description, photos, price and your ownership of, or right to sell, the item or provide the service.
• Listings must be real, for items or services actually available, in the right category and location, with photos of the item itself.
• You must comply with the laws applicable in your country and the buyer's country.

4. Prohibited listings and content

Publishing, requesting or promoting the following is prohibited, including but not limited to:

• Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their parts.
• Drugs, psychotropic substances and prescription-only medicines.
• Official or forged documents; accounts, personal or banking data of others.
• Stolen, counterfeit or smuggled goods, smuggled antiquities.
• Pornographic or offensive content, or content inciting hatred, violence or discrimination.
• Fraud and advance-payment requests for non-existent items, pyramid schemes and fake investments.
• Infringement of others' intellectual property rights.
• Any good or service prohibited by applicable law.
• Spam, duplicate listings and abuse of the contact tools.

5. Fraud and safety

• Never transfer money before verifying the seller and the item; prefer meeting in a public place.
• Report any suspicious listing or user from the app; you can block any user to stop them from messaging you.
• The platform is not liable for losses resulting from dealings between users, but it acts against violating accounts.

6. Moderation

• Listings may be reviewed automatically (including suspicious keyword matching) or manually, and may stay "under review" before publication.
• The platform may reject, hide or delete any listing that violates these terms or following reports, and tells you the reason when rejecting.
• Reports are reviewed by the moderation team and appropriate action is taken.

7. Account suspension

The platform may warn, temporarily suspend or permanently ban an account, and hide its listings, for violating these terms or on suspicion of fraud or abuse. You can contact the administration to appeal.

8. Deleting listings and the account

• You can delete your listings at any time, choosing a deletion reason.
• Old listings are not deleted automatically because of their age; a listing may expire if the administration sets a display period.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account), as described in the privacy policy.

9. Subscriptions and featured listings

• Listing limits, subscriptions and featured listings are defined by the administration and may change.
• Subscriptions and featured listings are activated manually by the administration after you contact it. There are no in-app purchases.

10. Disputes

• Any dispute about an item, service or payment is directly between the buyer and the seller; the platform is not a party to it.
• The platform may, without obligation, provide available information when required by a competent authority under applicable law.

11. Platform limitations

• The service is provided "as is" and may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.
• The platform does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and is not liable for indirect damages arising from its use, to the extent permitted by law.
• We may change these terms; continuing to use the platform after the change is published means you accept it.
